KnifeSavers visit the Government!

KnifeSavers hosted a drop in event for Members of Parliment this month. We were invited down to London to discuss the growing knife crime epidemic and explain how our campaign is saving lives affected by knife violence. The MPs were interested to hear about KnifeSavers and keen to take the work we have been doing in Merseyside and the North West and spread the campaign in their local constituencies. We gained great support from - Ian Byrne, MP for West Derby; Florence Ehalomi, MP for Vauxhall; Bill Esterson, MP for Sefton; Kate Osbourne, MP for Jarrow and Andrew Lewer, MP for Northampton.

We are looking forward to working further with Parliment lobbying for the KnifeSavers, lifesaving knowledge to form part of the national curriculum and for community bleeding control education to be available up and down the country.

As always our aim is to educate literally everyone on what to do if faced with major bleeding, empowering the public to save lives in those crucial minutes.
